Masterclass in Film Editing & DI

Duration : Weekday: 60 sessions - Mon - Fri (10 AM - 1 PM) | Weekend: 24 sessions - Sat - Sun (10 AM - 5 PM)

Format : Pacing, transitions, sound sync, color grading

Theory Sessions : Weekday: 1-2 hours/day Weekend: 3 hours/day Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects

Guided Practical Sessions : Weekday: 2-3 hours/day Weekend: 3-4 hours/day Exporting for OTT/festivals

Outcome : Completion of a short film with extensive CG editing techniques

Course Fee : Weekday: INR 1,00,000 Weekend: INR 75,000 *Taxes as applicable (includes system and software access during practical sessions)

Program Overview

The Film Editing & Post-Production Masterclass at Lumiere Institute of Filmmaking is a comprehensive 3-month weekday and weekend program designed to train students in the art and technique of visual storytelling. This course covers both fundamentals and advanced workflows using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects. Through hands-on practice and strong theoretical grounding, students will learn editing principles, pacing, transitions, color grading, visual effects, and basic CG integration preparing them for professional work in cinema, television, and digital media.

Final Project

Each student will produce a 3-5 min (weekday) and 1-2 min (weekend) short film, using AI assistance in script. Best film will be awarded at the graduation ceremony by a jury of editors and industry professionals.
